Westside Drive NW, Cleveland, TN 37312 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to veterinarians in the care and treatment of animals. Your expertise will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our patients, while also delivering exceptional customer service to pet owners. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of animal physiology and anatomy, along with hands-on experience in veterinary practices. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and procedures. Perform diagnostic tests, including X-rays, blood work, and urinalysis. Administer medications and vaccinations as directed by the veterinarian. Monitor animal patients pre- and post-operatively. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient. Educate pet owners on proper animal care, nutrition, and training techniques. Ensure a clean and safe environment by following aseptic techniques and proper sanitation protocols. Restrain animals safely during examinations and procedures. Skills The successful candidate should possess the following skills: Knowledge of animal physiology and anatomy. Proficiency in X-ray techniques. Understanding of animal husbandry practices. Ability to safely restrain animals for examinations or treatments. Knowledge of veterinary terminology and dental terminology. Experience with aseptic techniques in a clinical setting. Excellent communication skills for interacting with pet owners and team members.
