- Job Description Job duties include, but are not limited to: Petrestraint, triage incoming patients, collection and analysis of labsamples, diagnostic imaging, management and nursing care of medicaland hospitalized cases with varying degrees of stability,administration of medications, effective communication of treatmentplans with clients, surgical preparation and assistance, andanesthetic management.
Must be able to withstand unpleasant odorsand noises. May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste andpotentially contagious diseases. QualificationsWe’re Looking For:
A Licensed Veterinary Technician with an activelicense required, 1+ year professional experience preferred but notrequired Consistent punctuality and reliability in adherence toscheduled shifts Availability to work weekends Excellent clientcommunication and medical record management skills Comprehensiveknowledge of veterinary procedures, preventative care, and hospitaloperations Expertise in safe and low-stress animal restrainttechniques Proficiency in various sample collection methods,including blood, urine, fecal, and skin specimens Experience inradiographic positioning and image capture, with additional skillsin dental radiography being a plus Experience in anesthesiaadministration and surgical monitoring Commitment to professionalethics and continuous learning Ability to work in a fast-pacedenvironment with exposure to animal-related hazards The idealcandidate will possess a combination of technical expertise andunwavering commitment to animal welfare in a dynamic veterinarysetting.
