Lange Animal Hospital in Knoxville, TN is seeking a compassionate, motivated professional to join our dynamic team and help us deliver exceptional care to our patients—including dogs, cats, and the occasional exotic companion. What You’ll Do:
Assist veterinarians with exams, surgeries, diagnostics, and medical treatments Confidently and compassionately restrain and handle animals , including exotics, when applicable Perform thorough patient intakes, including vital signs, medical histories, and TPR assessments Administer vaccinations, medications (oral, SQ, IM, IV), and treatments as prescribed Educate clients on preventive care, post-op instructions, and ongoing health management Perform in-house laboratory diagnostics , such as fecals, urinalysis, ear/skin cytology, and bloodwork prep Assist with radiology, surgical prep, anesthesia monitoring, and dental cleanings Maintain accurate medical records and support inventory and pharmacy management Uphold hospital protocols, cleanliness, and safety standards in all areas ✅
What You Bring:
A minimum of 2 years experience in a veterinary assistant or technician role (CVT, LVT, or RVT preferred but not required) Proficiency in restraint, anesthesia monitoring, surgical support, and client education Experience working in a fast-paced or high-volume setting with a focus on teamwork Ability to remain calm, compassionate, and professional under pressure Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with both clients and team members A genuine love for animals and a commitment to delivering top-tier care 🌟 What We Offer –
