Position Summary:
The Account Executive is responsible for making professional andcomprehensive presentations of the Company’s services to themedical purchasing community and in the specific assigned territoryto achieve market penetration goals and increase salesrevenues.
Tasks/Accountability:
Demonstrates a high degree of responsibility for attendance anduse work time in a productive and efficient manner. Workingindependently most of the time requires excellent time managementskills. Is always prepared for scheduled appointments andmeetings. Fosters a positive attitude and builds morale among staffpromoting open communication with all departments. Participates in Company functions to build community and publicawareness of Peoples Home Health. Develops pricing strategy with peers and VP Operations to helpcompany maximize profits and market share while ensuring that theCompany’s customers are satisfied. Monitors trends that indicate the need for new products andservices, and oversees product development. Keeps abreast of the publics’ medical need and health caretrends. Determines the potential of each referral source in regards topatient and revenue potential. Identifies the potential of each account and allocates time andeffort according to payoff potential. Works with others to cost out several alternatives for contractproposals while protecting margins. Develops with institutions, contractual agreements which are inthe best interest of both parties. Must be able to identify and anticipate the need for jointsales calls in response to the needs of the referral. Identifies the customer’s primary needs and key concerns, andidentifies key contacts and their roles in the decision makingprocess in order to close the sale. Follows up on all proposals to ensure implementation. Maintains accurate records, documents actions, maintainscontrol of expenses and submits required reports on time. Continues professional growth through attendance at workshops,professional inservices, etc. Maintains a professional image. Uses appropriate phone etiquette. Promotes a customer friendly atmosphere for all visitors andensures patient confidentiality at all times. Participates in accreditation program. Performs other duties as assigned. Registrations:
Dependable transportation with valid driver’s license and autoinsurance.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in health care related field preferred.
Minimum High School Graduate (or equivalent). Minimum one year experience in home care industry with weightedemphasis in marketing. Requires proven interpersonal, coordination and leadershipskills with ability to communicate effectively. Requires a practical and theoretical knowledge of homehealth. Must have proven leadership and team building skills andability to converse with Physicians and Senior Managers with and anunderstanding of financial management. Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint isrequired. Able to prioritize and manage time effectively and makeindependent decisions when necessary is essential.
WorkingConditions/Physical Demands:
Office Environment. May be exposed tobiological hazards. Requires ability to work flexible schedule tomeet company’s needs and ability to travel. Extensive drivingrequired including prolonged sitting while driving to variouslocations.
