Full Job Description Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Medicare Home Care Account Executive to join our growing team. The Account Executive will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and growing relationships with referral sources including physicians, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, discharge planners, and case managers to promote our Medicare-certified home health services. This individual plays a key role in achieving census and revenue goals through strategic outreach and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain relationships with key referral sources and decision-makers to generate patient referrals for Medicare-certified home health services. Present and promote agency services to hospitals, physicians, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, and other community organizations. Conduct regular sales calls, presentations, and in-services to educate referral sources on the benefits of home health care and Medicare guidelines. Track all sales activity, referral outcomes, and follow-up efforts using CRM tools and weekly reporting metrics. Collaborate with clinical and intake teams to ensure timely and appropriate patient admissions and to resolve referral issues or concerns. Monitor territory market trends and competitor activity; provide feedback and strategic insights to leadership. Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly referral and admission goals.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred. Minimum of 2-3 years of sales experience in home health, hospice, or healthcare industry with strong knowledge of Medicare regulations and guidelines. Proven success in territory development, referral generation, and account management. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills. Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to work independently. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM platforms. Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and insurance required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Existing relationships with referral sources in the territory. Clinical background (e.g., RN, LPN, PT, OT) is a plus but not required.
