Essential Functions:
The Hospice Liaison or Account Executive is responsible forcoordinating & generating new hospice business in both existing andnew accounts, identifying new markets and maintaining existingservice as well as coordinating care for referred patients. TheHospice Liaison’s primary responsibility is serving as a liaisonbetween the agency, hospitals, medical community and other referralsources. This position educates the community and the medicalprofession/referral sources regarding hospice services. Thisposition involves daily interaction with patients, medicalprofessionals, other referral sources, and the community to assurecontinuity of care and to coordinate appropriate communication anddocumentation. This position works closely with agency personnel toensure that patient care is handled efficiently and effectively.
The Hospice Liaison is regularly engaged away from the employee’splace of business in performing these duties.
Qualifications:
Aheart to serve patients and families and a passion for providingthe best possible care
Education:
Minimum of an Associate Degree required in the fieldof study or proven work experience in a health-related field
Experience:
2 years of sales experience in a clinical caresetting, hospice preferred
Required:
Reliable transportation.
