Role:
We are seeking an Account Executive, Pathology to join our passionate and growing Oncology Sales team. In this field-based role, you will serve as a key liaison between Guardant Health and the pathology community, promoting our Guardant360 Tissue assay. Your focus will be on building strong, trust-based relationships with pathology stakeholders in cancer centers, hospitals, and academic medical institutions. As a strategic partner and pathology expert, you will drive adoption of our molecular diagnostics solutions, helping clinicians deliver timely, informed care to cancer patients.
Key Responsibilities:
Cultivate and manage relationships with pathologists, lab directors, oncology-focused pathology departments, and healthcare professionals in your territory.
Lead business expansion opportunities with:
Top U.S. cancer centers and pathology departments Academic medical centers (AMCs) and integrated delivery networks (IDNs) Identify needs and align Guardant Health’s diagnostic offerings with those needs to improve patient care pathways. Educate clients on liquid biopsy, tissue testing, and molecular profiling for oncology through a consultative, solutions-focused approach. Champion inclusive and equitable access to diagnostics by advocating for appropriate testing across all patient populations. Work cross-functionally with Sales, Medical Affairs, and Market Access teams to drive the Guardant oncology portfolio in target accounts. Monitor market trends and competitive activity; provide insights and feedback to internal stakeholders. Develop and execute a strategic territory business plan to meet and exceed growth goals. Accurately forecast sales performance and maintain up-to-date records in Salesforce.com. Represent Guardant Health’s values of integrity, collaboration, innovation, and compassion.
Qualifications What You Bring:
3+ years in account management, pathology sales, diagnostics, lab services, or oncology-related roles. Deep knowledge of pathology workflows, molecular diagnostics, or oncology therapeutic areas. A customer-first mindset and the ability to influence clinical decision-makers with empathy and clarity. Demonstrated track record of delivering results in a consultative sales environment. Familiarity with pathology billing, reimbursement, and lab contracting a plus. Proficiency with CRM tools (Salesforce preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to travel >50% within your territory.

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, pathology, business, or a related field required. Advanced degree or clinical/lab background a plus. Additional Information The US base salary range for this full-time position is $138,400 to $186,840. The range does not include benefits and if applicable, bonus, commission, or equity. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries across all US locations for the posted role, with the exception of any locations specifically referenced below (if any). Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including, but not limited to, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Majority of the work is performed in a desk/office environment; however, there may be exposure to high noise levels, fumes, and biohazard material in the laboratory environment.
