Job Summary Responsiblefor the sales strategy of Comcast High Capacity Ethernet Networks,Internet, Video and Voice-based services to Government, Educationand Medical institutions (G.E.M.) as well as complex enterprisecustomers. Works as part of a team to drive sales by focusing onacquisition, development and management of strategic prospectiveclients in designated territories. Designs and delivers live salespresentations to prospective strategic clients, developsrelationships with clients and the community and positions theComcast brand as key components of the sales strategy, in keepingwith Comcast’s touchstones. Has in-depth experience, knowledge andskills in own discipline. Usually determines own work priorities.
Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. JobDescription Core Responsibilities
- Creates and deliversface-to-face sales presentations to strategic prospective clientsthat demonstrate knowledge of the latest Comcast products andservices. Sells with goals of exceeding departmental financial andunit targets. Stays abreast of competitive landscape and emergingtechnologies to best position Comcast Business Services in themarketplace.
- Develops the strategy of the sales territory,including identifying strategic partnerships, planning thedevelopment of a territory and cultivating of local partnershipsand organizational affiliations.
Actively researches and generatesnew leads with targeted businesses through various prospectingactivities, including cold calling, canvassing, customer referralsand partner relationships. Actively seeks ways to promote andposition the Comcast brand within territory.
- Retains customerbase by delivering on the Comcast credo, ensuring a superiorcustomer experience. Maintains and builds customer relationship todrive customer retention. Works with internal teams to ensureoperational efficiencies and service levels meet and exceedcustomer expectations through strong customer service orientationwith excellent follow up skills.
- Maintains accurate and qualitysales records and prepares sales and activity reports as required
- Attends out-of-the-office meeting with customers on a regularbasis and demonstrates excellent verbal and written skills andskill presenting, persuading and negotiating.
- Demonstrates someknowledge of Network Design, MAN technologies & designs includingDSx, OC-x, WDM, Ethernet, Internet Technologies, Functionality &Services, Voice Network Technologies (including VoIP), DataNetworking Technologies, Functionality & Services (LAN, MAN, WAN,VPN), Networking Protocols (with an emphasis on Layers 1,2, & 3),Customer Premise Equipment (voice & data), BusinessContinuity/Disaster Recovery concepts and E-rate ContractingProcesses and Procedures.
- Consistent exercise of independentjudgment and discretion in matters of significance.
- Regular,consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights andweekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
