Hospice Physician in Mandeville, LA We are looking for a compassionate and collaborative Hospice Physician to join our team in Mandeville, LA, working alongside our existing Medical Director. This role is ideal for a physician who is passionate about dignified, person-centered care and wants to make a lasting difference in the lives of patients and families. As our hospice continues to grow, we’re seeking someone who can not only guide clinical care but also help strengthen community connections through education and meaningful collaboration with referral sources. Compensation:

Hospice Physician:
Provide medical oversight for hospice patients in home, facility, and inpatient settings Certify terminal illness for new admissions and recertifications, and ensure documentation is accurate and compliant Act as the attending physician when needed and support symptom management, urgent medication orders, and change-of-condition consults during on-call weeks Participate in interdisciplinary group (IDG) meetings every other week (typically 2-3 hours) and collaborate on comprehensive plans of care Complete verbal certifications, write CTIs, and sign necessary clinical orders while on call On average, spend approximately 30 minutes per patient per month on chart review, coordination, and communication On-call responsibilities are fully remote, consisting of phone availability, prescription oversight, and clinical support (no home visits required) Work closely with our team to grow the program through education, ethical collaboration, and by fostering referral relationships-always honoring patient choice Must-haves for success in this role: MD or DO with an active, unrestricted Louisiana medical license Understanding of hospice philosophy and experience with end-of-life care preferred Commitment to collaboration within the interdisciplinary group (IDG) Excellent communication skills and clinical judgment Willingness to take 7-on/7-off on-call rotation (remote – no in-person visits required) Availability to attend in-person IDG meetings every other week Ability to complete verbal certifications for admissions and document CTIs and orders during on-call weeks Interest in supporting growth through provider education, outreach, and patient-centered referral relationships Why work for Interim HealthCare?
