Job DescriptionAverage target compensation $100k plus, withminimum commission guarantee The Business Account Executive isresponsible for selling primary and ancillary communicationssolutions to small and medium sized businesses within a specifiedterritory. Primary services include coax delivered Internet, videoand voice. Ancillary services include custom hosting, desktopsecurity, data back-up, data storage, toll free, additional emailaddresses, static IPs and more. The AE achieves sales and revenuegoals through successful prospecting for new customers as well asthe successful sale of bundled services to new customers. The AE isresponsible for generating all sales leads through a variety ofprospecting tactics and working every lead from initial contact tosale. The AE is responsible for the development and implementationof a Territory Plan (under the instruction of the Sales Manager)which is designed to expand the customer base within their assignedterritory. The AE is 100% focused on generating new Internet, voiceand video customers.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Actively andconsistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance thecustomer experience Place orders through order management software.

Work with Account Coordinator in the event the order cannot beautomated to ensure that all necessary administrative worknecessary to support sales activities including sales orders,contracts, billing forms and sales reports are accurate andsubmitted in a timely manner. Hand off customer service andnon-sales related client inquiries to the Customer Servicedepartment; focus on selling Have a complete understanding ofSpectrum Business coax services, rates (individual and bundled) andapplicable taxes Demonstrate selling skills and product knowledge.

Practice selling skills with other Account Executives regularly.

Read sales books and take sales courses to learn new salestechniques; practice and implement new sales techniques regularlyMaintain accurate records of all sales and prospecting activitiesincluding sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-upactivities within assigned territory, including the use ofSalesforce.com to maintain accurate records to maximize territorypotential Meet and exceed performance standards as defined by thedepartment Standards of Performance (SOP) and the Spectrum WaySales Model Attend and participate in sales meetings as establishedby management

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Skills/Abilities andKnowledge Ability to read, write, speak and understand EnglishKnowledge of communications technologies and services, with anemphasis on telephone and Internet fundamentals Valid driver’slicense with a satisfactory driving record Education Bachelor’sdegree in business, marketing or related field, or equivalentexperience

Related Work Experience Outsidesales experience in a high transaction, short closing cycle modelpreferred; 3-5 years Business to business sales experiencepreferred Proven sales history of meeting or exceeding targetspreferred
