Raleigh, NC Position Overview:

The Account Executive is responsible for managing and expanding the company’s book of business related to health and life insurance products. This role focuses on establishing and maintaining relationships with clients, ensuring their satisfaction, and selling appropriate insurance solutions to meet their needs.

Key Responsibilities:
Client Relationship Management :

Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with current and prospective clients in the health and life insurance sectors.

Sales & Business Development :

Identify, prospect, and secure new clients. Understand client needs and present appropriate insurance solutions. Meet or exceed sales targets and quotas.

Product Knowledge :

Stay current on health and life insurance products, policies, and regulations. Provide clients with expert guidance on various insurance options.

Account Management :

Oversee the renewal process for existing clients, ensuring that they continue to receive the appropriate coverage. Manage claims or issues on behalf of clients and ensure their needs are addressed promptly.

Proposal and Presentation :

Create and present tailored proposals to clients, explaining coverage details, benefits, and costs of insurance options. Customize plans based on the clients’ needs and budget.

Collaboration :

Work with underwriters, brokers, and other internal teams to ensure policies are appropriately priced and meet regulatory requirements.

Client Education :

Educate clients on the benefits of their coverage, how to maximize their policies, and how to navigate claims or policy changes.

Customer Service :

Provide exceptional service to clients, addressing concerns, providing updates, and ensuring overall satisfaction with their policies and coverage.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
Education :

Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Insurance, or a related field (preferred) but not required.

Experience :

5+ years in sales, account management, or insurance-related fields, with a focus on health and life insurance (preferred).

Insurance License :

Must hold health and life insurance licenses. (State-Specific license must be obtained if applicable to assigned clients.

Sales & Negotiation Skills :

Strong ability to sell and negotiate, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets.

Communication Skills :

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex insurance concepts in an understandable way.

Customer-Focused :

Ability to establish trust and maintain positive relationships with clients.

Problem-Solving :

Strong ability to address client concerns, manage expectations, and provide effective solutions.

Preferred Skills:

Familiarity with health and life insurance regulations and compliance requirements. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Analytical skills for reviewing insurance policies and financial data.

Working Conditions:

Full-time position with occasional travel required to meet clients. May require after-hours or weekend availability, depending on client needs.
