This role involves managing clients’ needs supporting strategic marketing and communications efforts, and contributing to the development and execution of public relations and government affairs campaigns. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in public relations, media relations, and government affairs, with excellent organizational and communication skills. This is a full-time position and some travel is required. This is a hybrid role requiring three days per week in-office at Vintage City Co-Working Spaces, located in Elizabeth, NJ. Tasks may be adjusted according to company needs and compliance with applicable employment laws.
Objectives:
Under the guidance of senior leadership, this individual will act as the account manager for several clients, serving as an extension of Stateside Affairs. Enhance client relationships, ensuring that client needs are met and expectations are exceeded
Responsibilities:
Write, edit, and distribute press releases, media advisories, and pitches, among various other types of written content across social media posts, newsletters, and video scripts. Help build and maintain relationships with media contacts and facilitate media coverage for Stateside Affairs and its clients. Assist in the planning and execution of campaigns, including event coordination, social media management, and distributing newsletters. Oversee multilingual marketing, public relations, and community outreach campaigns including ad messenger campaigns and media buy plans across tv, radio, digital, and print. Oversee the development of client websites and execute bi-weekly/monthly updates. Assist in the creation and execution of a strategic plan for social media channels, including writing content and creating graphics/videos and tracking posts in a content calendar. Design flyers, evites, and other marketing collateral. Provide administrative support including scheduling meetings, organizing materials.
Requirements:
At least three years of experience in public and/or government relations or a related field Excellent verbal and written communication skills Outstanding interpersonal skills and an ability to work effectively as part of a team Ability to work well under pressure and manage sensitive subjects with professionalism Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel Familiarity with social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, Facebook etc.) Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities. Self-motivated, organized, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines Preferred skills and qualifications: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in public relations, communications, marketing, English, Spanish, or related field Completion of courses in public affairs, public speaking, or creative or technical writing Bilingual abilities are an asset Knowledge of photo and video-editing software is an asset Experience in project management, event coordination, customer/community relations For inquiries or to submit resume:
