Junior-Account Executive Position Available In New York, New York

Junior-Account Executive Ellingson Properties New York, NY Accountant is responsible for maintaining financial records, ensuring compliance with GAAP, assisting with month-end close processes, and supporting internal reporting. This role requires strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. We’re seeking an open-minded and technically skilled professional who is eager to drive continuous improvement in our accounting and reporting processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and post journal entries, reconcile general ledger accounts, and ensure accuracy of financial data. Perform monthly bank and account reconciliations. Adopt organizations values in personal work behaviors, decision making, contributions and interpersonal interactions Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports. Participates in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals Support AP and AR processes, ensuring timely invoicing and payments. Assist with month-end and year-end close procedures. Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and projects as needed.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles or willing to learn. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP or willing to learn). Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Detail oriented with high level of accuracy Team player, have ability to work independently and willingness to take on challenge Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
