Position Overview:
We seek an organized, self-motivated individual to join our fast-growing team at Providence Benefits. As an Inside Sales Rep, you will collaborate with employee benefits professionals and fellow team members by helping them select plans that best suit their client’s needs. This role requires strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and an understanding of health insurance regulations and policies.
Responsibilities include:
1.
Account Management:
Serve as the primary point of contact for brokers & clients, building and nurturing strong relationships. Manage a portfolio of accounts, ensuring client satisfaction, retention, and growth. 2.
Customer Service:
Help brokers/clients understand their coverage, assist them with any proposal support, financial modeling, and claim comparison needed, and ensure all relevant data is accurately conveyed & tracked in our system. 3.
Relationship Building:
Foster strong relationships with insurance carriers, brokers, and key clients. Collect the necessary group documentation for the Quoting team. 4.
Client Education:
Create client fulfillment kits to educate and clearly outline contact points for members and frequently asked questions. 5.
Accuracy and Compliance:
Maintain a strong understanding of health insurance regulations, policies, and changes. Ensure clients’ compliance with applicable regulations at the individual and group levels. 6.
Reporting and Analytics:
Compile and analyze account data to generate performance reports. Identify areas for improvement, share insights, and provide recommendations to enhance the overall client experience.
Qualifications:
These qualifications are preferred, but there can be flexibility if it is an entry-level position. 1. Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field (preferred). 2. Proven work experience as an Account Manager in the health insurance industry. 3. In-depth knowledge of health insurance policies, regulations, and compliance requirements. 4. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. 5. Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities. 6. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. 7. Proficiency in MS Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experience with insurance management software is required. 8. Excellent time management and organizational skills. 9. Professional demeanor and ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues. 10. This job is an in-house position with remote work allowed on Fridays.
