Are youan experienced Oncology/Hematology Sales Professional looking to bepart of an innovative, dynamic and growing organization? GSK’s USOncology team is looking for an Oncology/Hematology Account Managerto manage the sales and business activities within a definedgeographical business area. Key to this position is the ability todrive sales, leverage customer relationships and impact a varietyof customer segments. This includes the design and implementationof business plans intended to increase revenue from targetedcustomers based upon strategic business analysis. You willunderstand and leverage roles and responsibilities of the crossfunctional team to drive sales results. These partners includeMarketing, Medical Affairs, Market Access and CommercialOperations. Ideal candidates will have a deep knowledge ofcustomers and accounts within Oncology, as well as the localdynamics that influence business in their area.

This rolewill provide/gives YOU the opportunity to lead key activities toprogress YOUR career. Accountable for driving area sales results and ensuring openpatient access to GSK therapies. Develop and execute area business plans. Identify and apply resources to the development of keyprescribers/key account drivers within area. Engage proactively with key customers and account groups toensure the promotion of both GSK therapies and company image. Work cross functionally to maximize brand availability andexposure within key accounts. Work collaboratively with team and Regional Sales Director toensure successful launch and/or ongoing promotion of brandedproducts. Engage with Regional Sales Director and cross functionalpartners on the development of programs and activities that willresult in increased access to customersWhy you?
Basic Qualifications 4-year BA/BS degree from an accredited institution 3+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience, Biologic/Specialtysales experience and/or 3+ years Clinical Oncology experience,Oncology education, patient care skills, and direct physicianinterface. Valid Driver’s License
- Must be able to drive or operate avehicle
- driving is an essential function of this role.
Must live in geography, no relocation assistance. Ability to travel domestically as necessary, which may includeovernight and/or weekend travel. The amount will depend on thespecific territory sizePreferred QualificationsIf you have thefollowing characteristics, it would be a plus: 2+ years of Oncology sales and/or Specialty sales experience,Health System/Institutional experience is a strong preference. Experience selling multiple-myeloma and/or myelofibrosisproducts Product marketing, specialty pharmacy, payer and state societyexperience a plus Strong organizational skills in order to maintain a high levelof productivity, innovation and priority-setting in order tocomplete assignments on-time and on-budget Proven ability to think strategically and work with a highlevel of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
