As a National Account Manager you will be responsible for managing existing business, growing existing accounts, and opening new accounts to deliver business growth. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Key responsibilities include:
Effectively manage all internal and external customer communication related to existing business and the pursuit and onboarding of new business for assigned accounts. Develop and execute business strategy/account plan to obtain commitments to retain existing business and achieve sales growth through increased market share or new project penetration with assigned customers. Identify new business opportunities, scope projects, and determine if they are a good fit for ColorMasters. Document opportunities in CRM tool and update monthly until project is complete. Collaborate across all departments at ColorMasters to accelerate opportunities through the sales process to commercialization. Responds to RFPs with a high degree of detail in a timely manner. Assists with price, service and terms negotiations. Communicates with customers and internal suppliers to provide product or service quotations and lead times. Investigates and communicates quality issues and customer complaints while leveraging teams to resolve opportunities. Manage and oversee pricing and guide internal efforts to improve profitability on new and existing business. Effectively network at all levels within the customer’s organization to solve problems, offer innovative solutions, and influence new packaging ideas. Learns the customer’s business inside and out and builds long-term lasting relationships built on trust. Provide forecasting information for your customers on a quarterly basis. Negotiate and resolve customer issues related to service, quality, pricing, etc. Continuously improve service levels and engagement for assigned customers. Ensure timely recovery of costs including trials, print plates, graphics, storage, expediting, and shipping. Manage working capital aspects of the business including inventory and receivables. May assist with trade shows and market specific marketing activity, company promotional events, and outside company sales gatherings. Business travel is required, typically 25-50%. Travel may include evening entertainment and overnight stays.

A 4 year college degree in Business, Engineering, Packaging or Food Science, or equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field is a plus but not required. Preference will be given to those with experience in consumer products, polymers, blown film, printing and converting in flexible packaging. Proven experience in Sales, Marketing, or in a similar role. Entrepreneurial hands-on approach. Ability to build and maintain strong Customer relationships. Strong pre-existing relationships across the industry that can be leveraged to open new accounts and sell products to new Customers. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Proficiency in MS Office (strong Excel skills required) and CRM software. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize effectively. Attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Customer service-oriented with a positive attitude. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong time management skills. Proactive and self-motivated. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Flexibility to work extended hours if needed. Ability to learn and adapt quickly. Strong analytical skills.
