Job Description

We are currently seeking a Client Accounts Representative to join our Finance team! The Client Account Representative I is responsible for processing the day to day billing and follow up collection activities as assigned, ensuring that it is completed within specific time frames. Has full knowledge of the different Third Party Payors billing procedures and requirements. Remote (In Bethel, CT Office as needed)

Job Responsibilities:

Runs regular batch reports in Evolv, identifying issues and missing information. Actively seeks the information if not received in the time frame specified. Enters the billing information into the A/R system, reviews work and runs related reports to finalize charges, prior to the month end closing. Is aware of billing deadlines and ensures these deadlines are met. Reviews billing information prior to submitting the claims, so that a clean bill will be paid with the first submission. Applies corresponding payments to biller’s responsible charges, prior to month end closing. Reviews accounts monthly to make certain receivables do not extend beyond 90 days. In cases where accounts have gone beyond the time period, the biller works at obtaining the delinquent amounts by understanding the method characteristic of each funder. Unique to each biller may be reports, spreadsheets, etc. that they prepare, maintain and provide to other departments for additional account reporting. Since this is based on the specific needs of those departments, the timeliness of these tasks are also expected as per mutual agreement. Cross-trained within department in regards to billing responsibilities.

Qualifications:

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent Must have a Business School certificate and 1 year experience OR 3 years of related experience, preferably in the Health Care Field Good organizational, communications and computer skills are essential. Comfortability with basic and intermediate Excel skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with management team
