General Description:

Responsible for managing operationalactivities of a team of Account Management professionals. Will alsoact as Account Manager/Account Executive for a small number ofmid-to-large sized Commercial Lines clients.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for full-cycle management and development of two ormore employees. Provide strong insurance technical expertise to clients andmembers of the Account Management and Sales Executive team. Act as Account Management team escalation point for complexclient issues and question. Lead regular team meetings with Account Management and SalesExecutive staff. Partner with Commercial Lines Manager in support of companyoperational objectives. Respond to client requests for information, documents, andgeneral insurance inquiries. Handle all aspects of Commercial LinesProperty & Casualty Insurance. Occasional outside service visits,to the client, may be required. Manage team quality control of client renewals, ensureadherence to service standards and perform periodic qualityaudits. Direct team support work to Account Representative teammembers. If also directly managing clients, provide proactive,personalized support to assigned accounts, including: Marketing and placement of renewals. Negotiating with carriers on behalf of clients. Processing policies, endorsements and audits as needed. Representing client interests in internal strategymeetings. Maintain high degree of accuracy in agency managementsystems. Responding to underwriters’ questions in a timelymanner.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

5 years + experience in a Commercial Lines agency. Prior managerial experience preferred. Strong understanding of Property & Casualty insurance. Must hold or be willing to earn Property & Casualty insurancelicense. Industry designation such as

ARM, CIC, CPCU

preferred. Comfortable with internet-based programs and Microsoft Officeproducts. Knowledge of Sagitta/ImageRight preferred. Able to carry out complex tasks with many concrete and abstractvariables. Able to work in a fast-paced, team environment with minimalinstruction.
