We are looking for an Account Manager who is highly motivated, goal-oriented and a strong communicator who succeeds in a fast-paced, competitive environment. Our Account Management team achieves margin and revenue growth, sets and maintains high standards of service and reliability, taking pride in their contributions. As an Account Manager you will develop a book of business, targeting new customers by cold calling, outreach tasks, networking, and inbound leads while overseeing every aspect of your clients’ experience; from the fulfillment of a shipment to the long-term success of the partnership as well as prospect and on-board quality carriers to handle our growing volume of shipments. Responsibilities Achieve new volume, meeting targeted gross profit $ and % goals, new lanes/location goals and account growth goals Oversee and train operations to assist with daily tasks Carrier Vetting Provide useful and timely updates during shipment lifecycles Identify cross selling opportunities Source capacity to meet customer needs Assist with team to establish SOP’s for Truckload Operations Provide creative solutions for complex transportation situations as they arise Qualifications Previous experience as an Account Manager in the truckload market. Experience achieving targeted sales growth goals. Experience growing and managing a book of business. Demonstrated client-facing management experience. Entrepreneurial and bold attitude paired with a confident personality Proven ability to manage detail on multiple projects simultaneously Strong understanding of truckload market, including all modes of transportation Excellent verbal/written communication skills and follow-thru abilities. Proactive problem-solving and negotiation aptitude. Strong work ethic with team mentality.
