The Account Manager•Specialty, OEM/B2B reports to the Director of Commercial Sales and is responsible for driving strategic growth and managing key relationships across Buying Groups, Wholesalers, Direct Dealers, regional multi-location accounts, and OEM/B2B partners within the US Commercial sales channel. Serving as the primary liaison for these accounts, this role focuses on increasing brand presence, optimizing sales performance, and ensuring exceptional service delivery. The position also includes oversight of a 30-member external sales agency and close collaboration with internal teams to ensure consistent and effective execution of business plans. Strategic Account Management Develop and implement tailored business plans for assigned accounts and segments
Manage relationships with both internal and external key stakeholders to drive long-term growth
Create and present strategic Key Account Plans that align with customer and corporate objectives
Track and forecast sales performance for Specialty and OEM/B2B accounts External Sales Agency Management Align the efforts of the external sales rep agency with broader strategic objectives, track and report progress to the Director of Commercial Sales
Collaborate with leadership to set and review monthly, quarterly, and annual goals for agency reps.
Provide training, ongoing support, and performance tracking for sales agency personnel.
Work closely with Sales Support Specialist to ensure optimal support for assigned Specialty accounts. Sales Execution & Event Management Lead planning and execution of Buying Group events (booth setup, accommodations, show specials, sample ordering, and product displays)
Drive promotional initiatives and seasonal sales campaigns with Wholesaler, Buy Group, Direct Dealer, and regional multi-location accounts.
Deliver product training, education, and promotional support to partner accounts. Analytics & Reporting Analyze sales data using Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP), and platforms such as SalesForce and PowerBI.
Prepare and deliver detailed monthly reporting to business units on key product initiatives, account performance, and ROI
Monitor competitor activity and recommend strategic adjustments Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with Marketing to align on branding, promotions, and go-to-market strategies that support Specialty and OEM/B2B business growth.
Coordinate with Customer Service, Accounts Receivable, and Sales Coordinators to ensure seamless service and account support.
Act as the Voice of the Customer (VoC) by gathering insights and feedback from key accounts to influence internal initiatives and enhance the customer experience.
Collaborate with Product Management and R D to relay customer feedback and market needs that inform new product development, enhancements, and innovation roadmaps.
Maintain expert-level knowledge of core product categories (e.g., Safariland, Bianchi, Break Free, Hatch, & Forensics Source) to provide strategic input and serve as a trusted advisor to both customers and internal teams. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
5•10 years of sales or account management experience (within firearms industry preferred)
Strong knowledge of firearm and adjacent accessory categories
Track record of managing complex, multi-contact accounts
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft PowerBI
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
