Negotiation Full Job Description Job Summary:

The OEM Account Manager is responsible for growing Sy-Klone’s first-fit and optional-fit business by creating and sustaining long-term relationships with select vital OEM accounts such as Caterpillar, Komatsu, Hitachi, Liebherr, Epiroc, Sandvik, John Deere, Volvo, and Cummins, focusing on solving cab air quality, engine precleaning, and electronic cabinet air quality issues. The desired outcomes of this effort are capability development, revenue growth, profitability, and customer loyalty. First, this role implements Sy-Klone International’s OEM strategy and identifies industry, competitor, and geographical information utilized for strategy planning and feedback. The person in this role requires an in-depth understanding of OEM application opportunities, solution qualification, and solution testing requirements. Additionally, this role is responsible for maintaining project timelines by developing project charters and driving requirements through the product development process in collaboration with Sy-Klone R D and the commercial team. Finally, this role includes keeping the sales managers informed about the progress of first- and optional-fit solutions that support OEM dealers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Meets targets for profitable sales volume and strategic initiatives in OEM manufacturing and aftermarket support facilities. Works with the Chief Commercial Officer on developing and continuously improving the five-year strategic plan and Playbook for each assigned OEM account, including revenue, profitability, first-fit, optional-fit, aftermarket, and customer satisfaction initiatives. Responsible for implementing the strategic plan and achieving strategic initiatives for each OEM assignment. Identifies and develops business relationships with key OEM contacts that influence, decide, and procure. Travels to critical OEM manufacturing and engineering facilities to identify business development opportunities, support existing business, and strengthen relationships. Document contacts, deal stages, tasks, meetings, and emails in HubSpot (CRM). Work with application engineering to understand, create, communicate, and deliver value on first- and optional-fit solutions for cab air quality, engine precleaning, and electronic cabinet air quality issues. Collaborate with Regional Sales Managers to understand the current needs, wants, and desires of the OEM Dealers. Work in partnership with research and development on new products needed for innovative OEM first-fit and optional-fit solutions. Identifies OEM success criteria, qualification, and testing processes and integrates these within project management tasks for new business development opportunities. Manages customer contract renewals and update processes, including communicating updated pricing and terms and conditions, facilitating legal review processes, and managing contract provisions (e.g., reporting requirements and compliance audits). Works closely with inside sales, application engineering, and quality management to ensure product quality, on-time delivery, customer satisfaction, and problem resolution. Establish and consistently monitor the OEM’s business environment while driving growth and customer loyalty through a consultative, solutions-based sales approach.

Required Skills:

Demonstrated expertise in establishing productive, trusting relationships with key personnel in OEM accounts and effectively navigating various OEM functions (engineering, procurement, logistics, finance, and the aftermarket). Capability to grow revenue and increase profitability. An ability to understand opportunities and, as a result, create, communicate, and deliver value. Passion for learning and educating others on how Sy-Klone solutions are engineered, applied, installed, and serviced. Collaboration with cross-functional teams. Proficient at leadership, including adaptability, communication, courage, creativity, decision-making, emotional intelligence, motivating, problem-solving, self-awareness, teamwork, time management, and trustworthiness. Data analysis using Microsoft Excel or business intelligence software. Proficient with negotiation. Proficient with agile project management. Proficient with a CRM-based environment (HubSpot). Proficient with Microsoft 365 (Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). The ability to travel regularly to OEMs and OEM dealers.

Education and Experience:

Master of Business Administration preferred. Bachelor of Science. 5+ years required with experience developing business and relationships with OEMs such as John Deere, Cummins Diesel, and JCB. Must have a valid driver’s license, automobile insurance, and access to a personal vehicle.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift 15 lbs. at times. Normal auditory, visual acuity, and dexterity. There may be prolonged support periods at various factories, engineering, and field-testing locations. Must be able to climb, stoop, and bend to provide first- and optional-fit factory support.
