Lawn Master Outdoor Living provides luxury high-end pergolas and pavilions for customers who want to add a “wow factor” to their outdoor living space. As a partner of The Home Depot for more than a decade, we create the ultimate in outdoor living. The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for following up with leads to schedule sales consultations and onsite meetings with potential customers who have expressed an interest in a Studio Shed, Studio Home, and custom pergolas or pavilions. Our selected candidate will handle the Florida territory. The primary role consists of, but is not limited to: Calling on leads. Driving to appointments for meetings with partners and clients. Consulting with clients to design and quote Studio Sheds, Studio Homes, and custom wooden structures best suited for their needs. Photograph and measure the installation area. Close the sale. Obtaining building permits. Process project documents and payments. Maintaining relationships with big box retailers. The Outside Sales Representative will continue to work with his or her client throughout the project. This includes producing building plans using a simple CAD program or utilize our in-house design department for more advanced designs. Additional responsibilities include applying for building permits, regularly visiting assigned retail partner locations within the territory, submitting orders to the production team, manage all required reporting, and conducting occasional jobsite quality control visits with the installation team. This is a true “Territory Manager” position, not simply a salesperson position. This position requires minimal cold calling, but maximum closing skills. Studio Shed / Studio Home and Lawn Master Outdoor Living provides displays and product marketing at hundreds of big box retail locations across the Territory, generating a steady stream of sales leads. Outside Sales Representatives are backed by an award-winning customer service team at our headquarters in Louisville, CO (Studio Shed / Studio Home) and Waxahachie, TX (Lawn Master). Warm leads are provided to the Outside Sales Representative by maintaining their assigned displays and fostering a mutually beneficial partnership in the assigned territory. To be eligible for this position, the ideal candidate will have three years or more outside sales experience and be required to obtain and carry a badge, have a clean driving record, valid driver’s license, a professional disposition, and appearance. Must possess a strong work ethic, be highly organized, self-motivated, sales oriented, and willing to drive long distances daily/weekly. General computer skills are required (email, Microsoft Office, Salesforce). A bachelor’s degree is not required but is considered a plus. CAD drawing or experience with Sketchup is also a plus.
Must be able to:
Grow sales volume in assigned territory. Maintain displays at multiple retail locations. Drive long distances daily / weekly and work outdoors in all weather conditions. Create / maintain a positive working environment for our retail sales associates. This includes conducting weekly training seminars and attending weekend lead generation events. Provide clients with an outstanding customer service experience from the time their lead is received, throughout the process until their structure has been installed. Produce working drawings, measurements, and all required reporting to ensure accurate completion of a project. Possessing a bachelor’s or associate degree in architecture, construction science or related field is a plus.
PREVIOUS CONSTRUCTION AND/OR PROJECT MANAGEMENT KNOWLEDGE IS IMPORTANT.
Compensation:
Base salary plus lucrative commission structure – paid bi-weekly. Company vehicle, business related fuel expenses, cell phone, laptop, and tablet will be provided for business use during employment.
