We’re currently looking for an experienced and reliable Yard Manager to lead our yard operations and ensure smooth daily workflow.
Position Overview:
The Yard Manager is responsible for overseeing all yard operations, including equipment inventory, maintenance coordination, dispatch support, and team supervision. This role ensures equipment is properly maintained, organized, and ready for customer delivery or pickup.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and supervise yard staff, including training, scheduling, and performance monitoring. Oversee incoming and outgoing equipment – inspect for damage, cleanliness, and proper documentation. Maintain an organized and safe yard layout for efficient operations. Coordinate with mechanics and service team for equipment repairs and maintenance. Ensure compliance with safety procedures and company policies. Assist with loading/unloading equipment and operating machinery as needed Track inventory and report discrepancies to the Operations Manager.
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in equipment rental, construction, or logistics. Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred. Knowledge of construction equipment and safety standards. Valid driver’s license; CDL is a plus. Ability to operate forklifts and other heavy equipment (certification preferred). Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Working Conditions:
Outdoor environment in varying weather conditions. Physical labor including lifting, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
