Bankruptcy Full Job Description Job Summary:

Michael H. Moody Law, P.A., a dynamic Tallahassee-based law firm specializing in personal bankruptcy (Chapter 7), complex Chapter 11 bankruptcy, estate planning, and litigation, is seeking a highly communicative and empathetic Intake Specialist to join our collaborative team. You will serve as the first point of contact for clients, guiding them with compassion through the initial consultation process, assessing their needs, and securing their commitment to our services. Your exceptional organizational skills and professional demeanor are critical to converting leads into clients in a fast-paced environment handling both individual and sophisticated legal matters. Responsibilities:

Conduct initial phone and in-person consultations with prospective clients, using clear and empathetic communication to understand their needs in Chapter 7, Chapter 11, estate planning, or litigation matters. Screen clients for Chapter 7 or Chapter 11 eligibility (e.g., means test for Chapter 7, business or asset complexity for Chapter 11) with precision and care. Explain payment plans with confidence and secure signed retainer agreements. Collect preliminary client information (e.g., financial overview, case background) to facilitate case onboarding. Follow up with leads within 48 hours, addressing questions and overcoming objections with persuasive and compassionate dialogue. Enter client data into CRM software (e.g., Clio) with meticulous attention to detail and coordinate with paralegal for next steps. Maintain a professional and client-focused approach to build trust with individuals and businesses in distress. 1-2 years of experience in customer service, sales, or legal intake (bankruptcy or litigation experience a plus). Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly and empathetically. Strong organizational skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple leads and deadlines in a high-volume practice. Demonstrated integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to client confidentiality and ethical conduct. Comfortable discussing financial and legal matters with sensitivity, including business-related bankruptcy issues. Proficient with CRM software and Microsoft Office.
