Position Overview :
The Personal Lines Account Manager’s primary objective is to provide exceptional service, retain existing clients, and strategically grow the Agency’s book of personal accounts. This position will build strong relationships with clients, assess their needs, and recommend suitable coverage options while ensuring their satisfaction and enhancing client loyalty. The Personal Lines Account Manager involves managing both new and renewal accounts, processing policies, and actively cross-selling additional policies to maximize revenue opportunities for the Agency.
Work Arrangement:
This is a full-time position working in our office located in Tallahassee or Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
Professional Responsibilities:
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure their insurance needs are meet and provide excellent customer service. Address client inquiries and concerns promptly and effectively. Manage both new and renewal accounts, evaluating risk exposures, and determining appropriate coverages. Process and follow up on endorsements, update account information, and issue policies accurately and efficiently. Actively cross-sell additional policies to existing clients and identify opportunities for upselling relevant insurance products. Review insurance applications and renewal requests to ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines. Possess in-depth knowledge of insurance products, underwriting guidelines, and industry practices to effectively assess risks and recommend suitable coverage options. Serve as a liaison between clients, Producers, underwriters, and agency management, facilitating smooth interactions and effective communication. Efficiently manage client interactions, administrative tasks, and data entry to prioritize relationship-building and activities that generate revenue. Participate in continuing education classes to enhance knowledge and skills in the insurance field.
Qualifications and Requirements:
1 to 3 years of experience in a sales, account management, or customer service position (Required). High School Diploma/GED or Associate Degree in Business Administration, or a similar field (Required). Florida 2-20 or 20-44 Insurance License (Required). Experience in the Property and Casualty Insurance industry, specifically in personal lines account management (Preferred). Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Business Administration, Marketing, or a similar field (Preferred). Possess a comprehensive knowledge of personal lines insurance products, including coverages, policies, procedures, and underwriting principles. Experience in building and maintaining strong client relationships, understanding clients’ unique needs, and providing customized insurance solutions. Provide empathetic and supportive assistance to clients and employees by being responsive to client needs and proactively seeking opportunities to enhance the client experience. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage daily responsibilities effectively. Exceptional problem-solving skills, combined with a persistent approach to achieving successful resolutions. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey information clearly and transparently. Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment, sharing insights and contributing to collective success. Proficiency in using software systems, including Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, and Microsoft Office Suite. Commitment to staying updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices. Adhere to ethical standards and maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive employee and client information.
