Leadership Full Job Description Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly organized and client-focused Account Manager to join our medical revenue cycle management (RCM) team. This role serves as the primary point of contact for assigned healthcare provider clients and involves day-to-day oversight of RCM functions, team supervision, and ensuring overall client satisfaction. The Account Manager is responsible for maintaining compliance, managing client performance, and supporting staff in all aspects of the revenue cycle. This is a fully remote role ideal for someone with strong leadership skills, hands-on experience in RCM, and a passion for excellent client service.

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the primary client contact for assigned provider accounts, maintaining open and ongoing relationships with key client personnel Provide daily supervision and guidance to RCM staff working on assigned clients Establish a strong leadership presence that supports a collaborative and professional work environment, aligned with company standards Monitor and manage the full scope of the revenue cycle process, including verifications/authorizations, billing, payment posting, accounts receivable, customer service, and credentialing Ensure client work is completed on schedule and performance meets established operational benchmarks Maintain a detailed understanding of client KPIs, contractual expectations, and overall account status Govern the month-end process for each assigned client, including invoice generation and preparation of client performance summaries Provide onboarding and training for new staff assigned to client accounts Assist with billing, follow-up, payment posting, or customer service tasks when needed to support workflow Offer feedback on staff performance and contribute to annual evaluations Submit weekly status reports to the department director highlighting client performance, staff updates, and any escalated issues Identify and communicate opportunities for workflow or client service improvements Ensure compliance with HIPAA, payer requirements, and internal policies at all times Facilitate effective internal communication between departments (billing, AR, customer service) to ensure consistent delivery of services Support client onboarding processes and training on relevant RCM tools and workflows

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field, or equivalent work experience Minimum of 3 years of experience in medical billing or revenue cycle management Prior experience in client services or account management in an RCM or healthcare environment Solid knowledge of payer rules, claim processes, billing workflows, and healthcare compliance regulations Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing client needs Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment Proficient with Microsoft Office and familiar with practice management or EHR systems (e.g., Athena, IMS, EMA, eClinicalWorks, AdvancedMD)
