Responsibilities:

• Electronic billing and/or filing hard copy claim’s
• Contact insurance companies for verification of claim receipt and/or status of payment
• Review patient accounts and doctor documentation to ensure correct dental claims are filed by deadlines to allow correct payment for services rendered
• Update and inform office staff of insurance changes, billing guidelines, and laws for specific carriers/payers
• Ability to review and interpret dental EOB’s to compare charges in patients account.
• Review rejection and aging reports for re submission of denied claims.
• Follow up on outstanding or pending claims to ensure payment
• Ability to form positive open communication with dental office staff, internal department staff and insurance representatives
