Job Summary:
The New Construction Account Manager will work directly with builders to manage new construction scopes of work; including but not limited to air conditioning, electrical, plumbing, security, and low voltage.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Maintain existing relationships while cold calling and developing new business. Leverages existing lines of business to cross sell other lines of business. Identifies new communities and opportunities with existing and new builders. Oversees the bid process with internal estimating department. Manages contracts and pricing agreements with builders. Supports field operations by initiating pre-construction meetings for new projects. Understands market share and builder analysis for respected market. Consults with potential customers to understand their needs; identifies and suggests equipment, products, or services that will meet those needs. Acts as company representative at trade association meetings. Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent sales and customer service skills with proven negotiation skills. Strong supervisory and leadership skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in business, Business Administration, or related field Comparable record of sales leadership experience required. At least three years of sales experience required.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
