Job Description

Specialist, Accountability and Assessment 3.4 3.4 out of 5 stars 1701 Prudential Dr, Jacksonville, FL 32207 Job Summary Provides assistance to other district personnel with research studies and program evaluations. Essential Functions 1. Assists with collecting, compiling, and analyzing data related to district programs and initiatives with a focus increasing student achievement. 2. Assists with providing in-service training for both school-based and district-based staff on the student information platform. 3. Plans, prepares, and facilitates professional development including face-to-face training sessions and online professional development via TEAMS, Blackboard, Adobe Connect Webinars and ERO. 4. Assists with state-mandated reporting and assessment procedures, including but not limited to:collecting, compiling, and analyzing data related to district programs and initiatives, student data corrections and reporting to FLDOE 5. Supports DCPS employees and charter school employees regarding the district student information platform. 6. Communicates DCPS-specific issues with program developers and project managers as needed. 7. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Education:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. Graduate course work in educational research, psychology or educational administration preferred.

Experience:

Professional training and experience in data collection and analysis. Experience in evaluation design and report preparation preferred.

Certifications & Licenses:

Florida Department of Education certification. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of practices, methods, and procedures related to conducting research studies and evaluations Knowledge of all aspects of both the district assessment and data analysis platforms Knowledge of Google products such as Drive, Calendar, and Maps Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills Strong word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, database, calendar, and publishing software skills Strong project management skills Strong training development and delivery skills Strong time management skills Strong organizational skills Strong creative problem solving skills Strong report writing skills Strong data analysis and interpretation skills Ability to conduct research and evaluation of appropriate materials and resources to be used by educators, parents, and others in the instruction of students Ability to facilitate meetings effectively
