Job Description :

Avanity is seeking a National Account Manager to lead our strategic partnership with a major big box retailer . This role is ideal for a proactive, product-savvy individual with a strong background in retail merchandising and home improvement retail environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the retail account, including product strategy, merchandising execution, and sales performance.

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for one or more big box retailer accounts, managing the relationship across all bathroom furniture categories.
  • Collaborate with internal product development and marketing teams to ensure assortments are aligned with retail trends and customer preferences.
  • Analyze POS and market data to identify opportunities for assortment expansion, promotional strategies, and regional differentiation.
  • Present and recommend new products tailored for the retailer’s customer profile.
  • Partner with the retailer’s merchant and planning teams on line reviews, pricing, packaging, and planogram execution.
  • Oversee end-to-end program launches, from product onboarding and packaging approvals to inventory planning and promotional alignment.
  • Conduct regular store visits and maintain insight into competitive sets, display execution, and merchandising standards.
  • Travel as needed for factory visits (Asia), line reviews, strategy meetings, store walks, customer held events and trade shows.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills and proven ability to work with all levels of internal and external management. Strong analytical skills are required. Proven ability to analyze data and historical information, to determine sales & inventory trends/ opportunities.

  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented.

Ability to work collaboratively across internal functional groups and external partners. Highly organized with careful attention to detail, excellent planning, and priority-setting skills. Demonstrates a “roll up your sleeves” initiative to get the job done. Always represents Avanity in a professional and ethical manner. Demonstrates problem-solving skills necessary to deal with dynamic, rapidly changing market conditions.

Qualifications, Training, and Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience in national account management, retail merchandising, or buyer-facing roles within home improvement or furniture categories.
  • Strong understanding of in-store retail environments, visual merchandising, and shopper behavior.
  • Proven ability to discuss product features, materials, trends, and competitive advantages.
  • Experience working with major retail accounts, preferably in home improvement (e.g., Floor & Decor, Home Depot, Lowe’s).
  • Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret POS data and customer feedback to guide assortment and strategy.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
