Job Description
Job Summary This position is responsible for overseeing an assigned Corporate Account(s) with responsibilities that include the following activities: managing the overall customer relationship, developing a commercial strategy, overseeing pricing, maintaining profitability, reviewing inventory, and oversee handling of quality claims while working collaboratively with local personal/ facilities on the management of the account location(s) in question. Job Responsibilities Establish as the main point of contact for customer commercial issues while supporting local facilities in meeting customer’s quality, delivery, and inventory metrics. Regularly review inventory levels and customer’s forecast to meet customer’s expectations for delivery coupled with ensuring internal metrics and profitability is protected. Assist in the purchase of customer inventory in accordance with established policies and procedures to meet customer requirements; optimizing turnover and return on sales. Receive customer Request for Quotes, understand technical requirements, work with the local facilities to complete Design for Manufacturability, and develop a competitive market quote. Assist in the development of pricing and credit policies to maximize return on sales. Partner with inside/outside sales representatives to assist in day-to-day management of an account. Establish, implement, and monitor marketing plans and strategies to maintain and increase Kloeckner’s market share in coordination with Regional EVP and Commercial Directors. Direct the preparation of sales reports and data to monitor the overall sales effort to ensure the achievement of sales objectives; keep the Regional EVP and Commercial Directors informed of progress, challenges, and make recommendations for improving revenue and gross margin and overall customer experience. Resolving issues independently or collaboratively as required. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution 5 plus years’ industry experience Experience in the metals industry preferred.
