Summary
The National Accounts Manager Torque (NAM) will have responsibility to manage and identify non-contractual customer’s needs by developing strategic goals and objectives. It is his/her responsibility to educate and develop the customer’s interests in Ryder services (Mobile Maintenance Services) by using the Ryder Sales Process. The purpose of the position is to help grow and maintain a book of established national accounts that generate roughly $10m to $15m in annualized revenue. This is a critical developmental position mid-way between field sales and a Director of National Accounts Torque.
Essential Functions
Plan & implement strategic/consultative sales process to maximize account penetration. Evaluate the current and potential sales opportunities with existing customers. Implement customer review and margin improvement process to ensure customer satisfaction and maximize Ryder’s EVA. Develop relationships with senior management and all buying influences in the customers organization. Identify and appropriately utilize headquarters and third-party sales resources
Prepare strategic account plan using target account selling process. Develop complete knowledge and understanding of competitive alternatives in the marketplace
Coordinate administrative areas that support the selling activity in a manner which promote teamwork
Training and improvement of sales skills, industry knowledge and personal growth needs.

5 years or more in demonstrated consecutive sales excellence (quota achievement) in prior sales responsibilities, Required
4 years or more in experience at the Ryder BU level or similar, Required
0 to 1 year in Roundtable attainment, Preferred
