Strategic Account Manager:

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Account Management:

Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic accounts. Understand the client’s business objectives, challenges, and requirements. Act as the primary point of contact for the client and manage all aspects of the account relationship.

Account Planning and Strategy:

Develop and execute comprehensive account plans aligned with the client’s business goals and the organization’s objectives. Identify growth opportunities within the account and develop strategies to maximize revenue and customer satisfaction.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, marketing, product, and customer support, to deliver exceptional service and value to the strategic accounts. Coordinate resources, resolve issues, and ensure effective communication and alignment between the organization and the client.

Customer Retention and Satisfaction:

Proactively manage customer satisfaction, address concerns, and ensure the timely resolution of issues. Regularly review performance metrics, customer feedback, and industry trends to identify opportunities for improvement and customer retention.

Revenue Generation:

Meet or exceed revenue targets for strategic accounts. Identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell additional products, services, or solutions to maximize account revenue. Develop pricing strategies, negotiate contracts, and manage contract renewals.

Business Development:

Identify and pursue new business opportunities within strategic accounts. Conduct market research, gather customer insights, and collaborate with the sales team to develop and execute sales strategies to expand the account’s footprint.

Relationship Building:

Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders within the client organization, including executives, decision-makers, and influencers. Establish trust, credibility, and a deep understanding of the client’s business. Act as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to the client.

Strategic Planning:

Stay updated with industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape within the client’s industry. Conduct regular account reviews, assess business risks, and develop contingency plans to mitigate potential challenges.

Performance Monitoring and Analysis:

Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the success and effectiveness of the account management strategies. Provide regular reports on account performance, revenue forecasts, and market trends to senior management. Provide timely and accurate reporting of sales activity and forecasts within the CRM and other updates as needed.

Contract and Legal Compliance:

Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, terms, and conditions. Collaborate with legal and finance teams to negotiate contracts, manage pricing, and resolve any legal or contractual issues.

Customer Advocacy:

Act as the voice of the customer within the organization. Provide feedback and insights to product development teams to drive product improvements and innovation. Advocate for the client’s needs and requirements during internal discussions and decision-making processes.

Industry and Market Knowledge:

Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging technologies within the client’s industry. Attend industry events, conferences, and seminars to enhance industry knowledge and network with key stakeholders.

Experience:

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university and eight (8) to ten (10) years sales-related experience and/or training; or combination of education and wide/grand format inkjet sales experience.

Language Skills:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, ad fundamentals of plan and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Computer Skills:

Proficient on Company-provided hardware and software.
