Job Description
The Account Manager III role at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. offers an outstanding opportunity to improve sales performance within the Microbiology business. You will work closely with Channel Partners and crucial internal collaborators to achieve and surpass revenue goals, guaranteeing seamless implementation of business strategies and annual plans. This is a field-based sales position and involves extensive travel and overnight stays. Preference for candidates within Atlanta, GA, and Orlando or Jacksonville, FL.
What will you do?
Implement and successfully apply the Sales Methodology framework strategy consistent with the organization’s long-term sales and profit objectives
Communicate the value of doing business with Thermo Fisher Scientific as a total solution partner, directly aligning with the customer’s value proposition
Develop strong major account relationships at all levels of management to grow sales of MBD product lines in the assigned territory
Build and implement a territory business plan and key account strategy, regularly monitoring and reporting progress
Align strategy with other Groups and Divisions through regular contact and interaction
Understand competitive edges and tactics within accounts, maintaining strategies to oppose and mitigate competitive threats
Negotiate pricing and contract terms with customers
Collaborate with key internal collaborators to develop and implement timely contract launches and renewals
Champion Sales Force.com to handle customer data, profile accounts, communicate opportunities, and handle the pipeline accurately and promptly
Submit reports and handle expenses with accuracy, efficiency, and promptness
Demonstrate and role model the 4-I values to guide decisions and interactions
How will you get here?
Education
Degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Business, or related field equivalent experience
Experience
Technical strength and proven ability to navigate the Microbiology portfolio or similar
2+ years of sales experience in a relevant industry preferred
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Understand the necessity for sales planning and execution using standard sales tools (e.g., Sales Force.com) to drive commercial operational excellence
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required
