Underwriting Account Representative Position Overview:

The Middle Market Underwriting Account Representative (UAR) plays a crucial role in supporting the underwriting process for both new and renewal customers across various insurance lines, including property, casualty, workers’ compensation, excess lines, and automobile coverages. This position involves collaborating with team members to achieve growth, profit, renewal retention, service, and producer/client management goals for an assigned book of business within the middle market segment of Commercial Insurance. The UAR is responsible for gathering and analyzing account information, interpreting and translating data into rating and issuance instructions, and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations to align with corporate pricing strategies. In partnership with the Underwriter, the UAR assists with the binding and issuance of new and renewal business and ensures proper documentation of files.

Support the underwriting process for new and renewal customers across multiple insurance lines. Collaborate with team members to achieve business goals in growth, profit, renewal retention, and client management. Gather, analyze, and interpret account information to provide accurate rating and issuance instructions. Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations and corporate pricing strategies. Assist Underwriters in binding and issuing new and renewal business. Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of underwriting files.
