Key Job Requirements:
  • Performs any functions, within scopeof authority and expertise, to provide the highest level of service andresponsiveness to the clients, prospective clients and guests served byGreylock Insurance Agency while performing all duties in accordance withprescribed regulatory compliance guidelines and Credit Union policiesand procedures.
  • Gathers information; utilizes software to prepare aquote for underwriting. Uses underwriting guidelines, Winrater, andother company websites to qualify an insurance quote.
  • Confidentlydiscusses options/quotes and makes recommendations for policysuggestions/changes with existing and potential customers. Be preparedto respond to frequently asked questions.
  • Advises and assistscustomers in claims process by using company websites and industrysoftware. Answers questions and assures customers their claims will behandled promptly.
  • Takes ownership of assigned portfolio. Reviewsrenewals, provides excellent customer service and adheres to Greylock’smotto to treat customers/members better than they expect.
  • Achievesexpected standards in up-selling/cross-selling by reviewing existingcustomers’ policies and asking the appropriate questions that willresult in cross-selling additional policies and up-selling neededfeatures to current policies.
  • Cross-sells Greylock products(referrals) to non-Credit Union members, as well as have a basicunderstanding of the products and services the Credit Union has tooffer.
  • Schedules and presents information at branch and departmentalmeetings. Prepares and conducts presentations with confidence andenthusiasm.
  • Understands insurance concepts and is able to explaincontract terms for personal lines products in a way that isunderstandable to our customers.
Related Responsibilities:
  • Activelyrepresents the Credit Union in local civic, community and professionalorganizations. Promotes the Credit Union wherever and wheneverpossible.
  • Performs all duties in accordance with prescribed regulatorycompliance guidelines and Credit Union policies and procedures.

Position Requirements:

High School diploma or equivalent. Two-five yearsof insurance experience. Successful completion of P&C licensing withinthe first 6 months from date of hire. Excellent verbal communication,telephone etiquette, and customer service and organizational skills.

Attention to detail and ability to multi-task. Proficient knowledge ofMS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Professional appearance. Able tomaintain confidential information.
