The region for this position encompasses North Florida, including Tampa and Orlando About the Role The Neurology Account Manager is a pivotal role focused on driving patient identification, market expansion, and revenue growth for Friedreich’s Ataxia (FA) therapy within an assigned territory. This position requires strategic territory management, advanced sales and clinical acumen, and the ability to forge strong relationships with healthcare providers (HCPs) and key stakeholders to achieve ambitious sales goals and revenue profitability. The successful candidate will leverage deep market insights, clinical knowledge, and customer-centric strategies to educate HCPs, remove barriers to treatment access, and optimize patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities Strategic Territory Management:

Develop and execute a comprehensive territory strategy and HCP-specific account plans to drive patient identification and market penetration for FA therapy. Continuously analyze market trends, assess sales opportunities, and prioritize resources to maximize growth and achieve performance goals.

HCP Engagement and Education:

Build and maintain trusted relationships with neurologists, movement disorder centers, and other key HCPs by delivering tailored education on FA, its recognition, diagnosis, and treatment options. Utilize pre-call planning, market insights, and post-call analysis to refine engagement strategies and enhance impact.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

Foster alignment and drive decision-making by cultivating effective working relationships with internal teams (e.g., commercial, compliance, and patient care) and external stakeholders. Adapt communication styles to address diverse stakeholder needs, ensuring seamless coordination and access to therapies at the point of care.

Market Development and Retention:

Partner with key offices and HCPs to develop targeted market development plans that enhance patient identification through education and awareness. Post-launch, implement retention strategies to sustain customer relationships and drive long-term sales success.

Program Execution:

Lead territory-specific initiatives, including in-services, lunch-and-learn sessions, and educational programs, to promote Biogen’s FA therapy and services.

Sales Optimization:

Design and implement daily/weekly call plans and travel schedules to ensure consistent engagement with high-priority HCPs, maximizing coverage and impact. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree required, Advanced Degree preferred 5+ years of progressive business experience in the healthcare or biotech industry, inclusive of 3 years of field-based experience in account management, sales, and/or field reimbursement. Rare disease experience is preferred A successful track record in clinical education or in pharmaceutical sales/management of products required. Experience in HUB services or Specialty Pharmacy fulfillment is a positive Experienced pharmaceutical professional with a comprehensive understanding of field / patient reimbursement, charitable funding, non-profit organizations Must be comfortable spending 60% of time traveling; some overnight travel required Driving is an essential duty of this job; candidates must have a valid driver’s license to be considered Candidate must reside in territory

Job Level:

Management Additional Information The base compensation range for this role is: $151,000.00-$202,000.00 Base salary offered is determined through an analytical approach utilizing a combination of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills & experience, job location, and internal equity.
