Portfolio & Chain Account Manager – Off-Premise | Wine & Spirits Baystate Wine & Spirits, a leading independent distributor, is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Portfolio & Chain Account Manager to oversee key off-premise chain and retail accounts. This position plays a critical role in executing brand strategy, strengthening retail partnerships, and driving growth across a curated portfolio of wine and spirits.
Position Overview:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing relationships with regional and national chain buyers, implementing supplier programming, and working cross-functionally with internal sales teams to ensure brand alignment and execution at retail. This role requires a strong understanding of the off-premise landscape, attention to detail, and a strategic, results-oriented mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and manage relationships with key retail and off-premise chain accounts Lead the execution of pricing strategies, promotional plans, and display programs Act as the primary point of contact for assigned supplier portfolios, ensuring alignment on objectives and reporting Collaborate with sales leadership to identify opportunities and drive volume, distribution, and brand visibility Analyze sales data and market trends to inform business decisions and present performance recaps to suppliers Coordinate and execute market visits with supplier partners and key decision-makers Support store-level execution, including staff education and in-store merchandising initiatives
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in off-premise chain or key account management within the wine and spirits industry Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a deadline-driven environment Proficiency in Excel, sales reporting tools, and CRM platforms preferred Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
