Ongoing training on various company functions as an Employee-Owner to broaden business acumen. What does the Account Manager do? As the Account Manager, you will serve as the face of Experitec to local engineering firms, acting as a partner bringing expertise in their businesses and the industries we serve. This role involves helping EPC’s (Engineering Procurement & Construction) increase the amount, speed, and certainty of their profits through our technology and services. The Account Manager must understand the customers’ business, industry best practices, Emerson’s technology portfolio, and value statements for our solutions, effectively communicating this value to generate profit for both the customer and Experitec. The scope of solutions will be primarily those of Emerson Automation Solutions, Experitec services, and Alliance Partner Solutions as required in meeting or exceeding the customers’ goals. Articulating key benchmark and industry standards to key decision makers at customer sites. Identifying and developing business relationships with key customer decision makers. Establishing fluency in articulating the Value Proposition related to critical success factors, KPIs, and key initiatives. Facilitating discussion and Technical Queries between the customer and Experitec/Emerson Inside Sales Teams. Documenting and capturing recognized business value through the Quantified Business Result process. Developing and maintaining a targeting process for opportunity identification and prioritization within the geographic region. Coordinating and motivating customers for mindshare on the content. Leading the identification and qualification of opportunities, understanding customer needs and key decision makers. Utilizing the Sales Performance International Solution Selling Methodologies for all pursuits. Developing, implementing, and maintaining a pursuit strategy to maximize revenue and profit for Experitec. This position is part of our Outside Sales team with the specific title of Final Control Account Manager

Required Skills, Experience & Abilities:

Bachelor’s degree Two or more years of sales or engineering work experience. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), Outlook email, and basic computer skills. Ability to work collaboratively in Experitec’s strong team environment. Ability to lead customers and internal teams through complex sales. Ability to work at home, at customer sites, and 3 days per week in the office on Monday through Friday from 8am-5pm with occasional additional hours. Ability to travel independently regionally up to 10% of the time. Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills with an entrepreneurial and strategic mindset. Self-motivated with adaptability to work both independently and as a collaborative partner in project work groups. Proactive, highly accountable, with ownership of personal outcomes as it pertains to sales goals and quotas. The ability to navigate internal and external organization structures to influence decision makers. Comfort discussing customer budgets and leading a value-over-price oriented conversation with prospects. Ability to drive for the company with a valid driver’s license and the ability to pass driving record background check. Ability to utilize personal vehicle for the majority of work travel AND ability to rent a car when requested by supervisor for work travel. Ability to independently travel nationally as needed for training opportunities which may include some overnights. Ability to lift and move up to 25 lbs. Ability to wear PPE as appropriate for potential environmental hazards. Ability to work indoors and outdoors at manufacturing and data center environments with varying heights, temperatures and noise levels.

Preferred Skills, Experience & Abilities:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or closely related discipline. Five or more years of sales experience. Three or more years of experience in strategic account management. Three or more years of engineering work experience. Two or more years of experience working with Engineering Procurement Construction companies. Power Generation knowledge. Experience working in the Power industry. Track record of sales success consisting of complex, solutions-based opportunities. Experience in a position serving multiple industries.
