MOPIPE is hiring an Inside Sales / Account Manager to help us manage relationships, issue accurate quotes, and ensure smooth order execution across a portfolio of distributor and OEM accounts. You’ll serve as the key point of contact for your accounts — answering questions, issuing quotes, following up on orders, and coordinating internally with operations and procurement to deliver what customers need. This is not a cold-calling sales role — it’s a customer-facing execution role focused on service, margin protection, and relationship management. Our customer base is highly loyal and relationship-driven—many of our accounts have been with us for 10+ years. This role is about continuing that tradition of trust while improving how we serve, quote, and grow alongside those customers. About the

Company:

MOPIPE is a 92-year-old domestic manufacturer and distributor of pipe nipples and fittings. We sell through PVF distributors and directly to manufacturers in industries such as utilities, HVAC/plumbing, oil & gas, and agriculture. We differentiate ourselves through our ability to quickly produce and deliver specialty products that are difficult to source elsewhere. We operate a manufacturing and distribution facility near downtown St. Louis, MO. As of June 2025, MOPIPE has ~35 employees.

Position Responsibilities:

Account Management & Service:

Own a book of business with recurring accounts. Respond to inquiries, provide quotes, follow through on order status, and ensure excellent service. §

Quoting & Pricing:

Issue accurate quotes using pricing logic and margin targets. Spot opportunities to grow the account or preserve margin, and escalate as needed. §

Order Coordination:

Review orders entered by support team; verify accuracy and handle exceptions. Coordinate with operations, procurement, and shipping as needed. §

Customer Retention:

Build trust through responsiveness, accuracy, and partnership. Keep customers informed and resolve issues quickly. §

Sales Support Tools:

Maintain accurate records, pricing, and customer info in ERP and EDI systems. Help improve tools and templates to increase team speed and quality. §

Cross-Functional Communication:

Serve as a key liaison between customers and internal teams. Translate customer needs into clear internal requests and follow-through.

Critical Outcomes:

§ 95% quote response rate within one business day § 99% accuracy in entered or reviewed orders §
