This role reports to the Mgr, OEM Sales and is located in St. Louis, MO What you will do As the OEM Account Manager, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of the sales strategies and tactics necessary to meet or exceed annual sales goals and grow market share at your assigned accounts. They will coordinate associated account strategies and tactics with our channel partners and extended RA sales team. This includes the justification of resource investment (people, pricing, equipment and partners) to achieve these outcomes. From a tactical standpoint, this individual is responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships through all levels & function (Operations, Sales, Service & Support, Engineering, Purchasing and Leadership) at assigned accounts. It is critical that this person: Becomes intimately familiar with their assigned accounts, plans for growth and drives engagement. They will grow customer spend with Rockwell Automation by clearly defining business value and aligning our capabilities to the customer’s desired outcomes. Qualifies customer opportunities, engages the appropriate resources and coordinates the solution design to impact the customer’s decision process and presents solutions to the customer (value proposition). Understands the industry (applications, standards/regulations, drivers and trends), the customer’s organization and desired business outcomes and Rockwell Automation offerings and delivery mechanisms as well as partner capabilities relevant to assigned accounts. Proactively collaborates with the North America OEM Segment Leaders. Responsibilities You will establish, executive level relationships within the customer base, and understands customer process and business model.
Ability to Analyze local market information and account dynamics to develop appropriate strategy and execution plans.
OEM / Industry / Application knowledge
Disciplined sales approach including CRM use and appropriate funnel management.
Collaborate and influence resources throughout an extended team, including Rockwell Automation and distributor domain experts. Basic qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years’ experience

Valid driver’s license.
Ability to travel locally greater than 50% Preferred qualifications Bachelor of Science degree in an Engineering discipline. Additional business related degree/experience preferred.
Prior experience in technical sales, industrial distribution, manufacturing operations, systems integration or an engineering firm, or graduate of the

Rockwell Automation Sales Training Program:

Experience working with all levels of an industrial automation plant (customer) including VPs, plant engineers and OEM machine builders.
