The Nutanix TAM acts as a technical advisor and customer advocate. Technical acumen in Virtualization, Data Center IT infrastructure (Storage, Compute, Networking) are core requirements with preferred industry experiences with Private/Public Cloud Services and/or leading Enterprise solutions in large-scale deployments.

  • About the Team
  • You will be joining the Technical Account Management team at Nutanix.

This team is dedicated to ensuring customer success and operational excellence for customers of varying sizes and industries, focusing on building strong relationships and delivering exceptional service. The culture within the team emphasizes customer advocacy, communication, and continuous improvement, where members are encouraged to present insights and best practices to the larger team. You will report to the Technical Account Management Director, who fosters a supportive leadership style aimed at empowering team members while holding them accountable for performance metrics. As part of a larger Customer Experience organization, you will work closely with team members in Support, Consulting, and Education Services, as well as Sales teams assigned to your accounts.

  • Your Role
  • + Develop a deep, technical understanding of the customer’s business priorities, operational model/objectives, data center environment, data center architecture/roadmap, and their IT initiatives.

+ Maintain technical understanding and knowledge of the Nutanix platform to facilitate a trusted advisor relationship with your assigned customers. + Conduct regular operational reviews with the customer on ongoing projects and recommendations for their Nutanix environment, including recent incidents and field advisories, upgrade planning, and documented best practices. + Conduct and coordinate a twice-yearly health check on the customer’s environment. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Support, Sales, Consulting) to resolve issues and enhance customer satisfaction. + Highlight any operations issues both unique to the customer’s deployment of Nutanix and their IT environment and those commonly experienced to facilitate visibility, risk mitigation and alignment to best practices. + Review and recommend software upgrades based on customer needs and maintenance schedules. + Act as an advocate of the customer and conduit into various Nutanix cross-functional teams, promoting activities and features which will drive customer success. + Foster a culture of continuous improvement by documenting and presenting best practices and insights to the team.

  • What You Will Bring
  • + Must be a US Citizen, residing in the continental US.

+ 4+ years in technical customer-facing roles, such as Technical Account Manager, Support Engineer, or Technical Customer Experience Manager + Understanding of data center infrastructure – virtualization, compute, storage, networking, converged infrastructure, distributed file systems, DR/HA, security – and workloads such as VDI and enterprise apps. + Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks, determine project urgency and execute detailed action plans with customers and Nutanix stakeholders. + Excellent communication, project management, presentation, and problem-solving skills + Experience working with large enterprise or government customers is preferred. + Nutanix platform knowledge and expertise is highly desired, including AOS and AHV experience.

  • Work Arrangement

Hybrid:

This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. For most roles, that will mean coming into an office a minimum of 2 – 3 days per week, however certain roles and/or teams may require more frequent in-office presence. Additional team-specific guidance and norms will be provided by your manager. The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between USD $ 128,000 and USD $ 255,600 per year. However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
