Outside Sales & Catering Manager The Porch Kitchen & Cantina 840 Mill Works Street, Winston-Salem, NC 27101 We are looking for someone to join our catering department to focus on driving outside sales for the company and managing the catering staff to execute events with excellence! We are hoping to fill this role by July 1st. Below is an outline of the responsibilities for this role: Catering Department First initial communication with all customers coming in through Toast, calls, emails, etc. then handed over to the catering assistant depending on the type of event (quick pick up/delivery vs rehearsal dinner/wedding) Create an exceptional customer experience through catering & maintain brand identity at each catering event Increase sales through creative marketing Graphic design/marketing materials Create & maintain seasonal catering menus Maintain catering page on each restaurants website Monitor all communication between customers and catering department staff to maintain clear & professional communication Create schedule for catering pick ups, deliveries & full service events (You will be responsible for being event lead on all major events. Schedule catering staff to work events, if they’re not available you will be required to work the events) Work with each restaurants Social Media manager & GM on weekly catering promotions Main point of contact for custom events, big clients and partnerships (ie. rehearsal dinners, weddings, holiday parties, graduation events, etc.) Create and maintain customer & vendor relationships Wholesale Department Monitor communication between customers and wholesale department staff to maintain clear & professional communication Find opportunities to grow our Wholesale business and expand to new locations Email Marketing Work with Social Media manager on promoting wholesale department & locations Assist with brand identity for
Wholesale Department Requirements:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills Available during busy holiday seasons (month of May & December) Flexible schedule – available to work nights & weekends Willing to use personal items to accomplish work responsibilities (computer, cell phone, vehicle, etc.)
Schedule & Compensation:
Weekly hours will vary based on demand, but an average of 40 hours per week is required. Admin Hours are expected to be before lunch (11 am) & before dinner (5 pm) Monday – Friday & some occasional Saturdays depending on demand.
Base salary:
$600-750/week ($31,200-39,000/year)
Commission:
5% commission for each catering order and wholesale order executed
Tips:
You will be paid tips for deliveries, onsite and offsite work, if applicable. 100% of the tip will go to you if you work any event/delivery alone. Otherwise, tips will be distributed to the catering staff. If discussed ahead of time some admin hours can be remote. Event Hours vary during lunch hours & evening hours for dinner events and can be Mondays –
