Account Manager/Outside Sales Territory:

Yarde Metals University (YMU) was developed to equip associates with the necessary knowledge and skills to become successful sales professionals. The program was developed in-house by some of the most talented and experienced metals experts in the industry. An Account Manager is the first contact for our customers. Account managers are responsible for meeting or meeting annual sales and profit plans, increasing revenues, maintaining current accounts, and obtaining new accounts in an assigned territory. Responsibilities Assist with creating a sales forecast plan and achieve established sales and profit goals. Assess and maximize buying potential, profitability, and product/service requirements by developing a sales strategy and action plan. Profitably sell products and services by presenting information and solutions to customers. Develop and maintain effective business partnerships with existing and potential customers. Identify, target, and secure contractual opportunities and increase sales through collaboration with product managers and sales associates. Continually develop sales skills and acquire knowledge on new products, services, equipment, industry intel, and business trends. Selectively entertain customers and administer budgets proportionally based on account status, sales volume, profit, and overall sales potential. Prepare itineraries, call logs, expense reports and update customer account information. Work with marketing to discuss promotional ideas and promotional work. Represent the company in a positive and professional manner in all business and social settings. Attend association meetings and trade show events. Requirements & Qualifications College degree is strongly preferred. Previous outside or inside sales experience in the metals industry strongly preferred. Personable, professional, business savvy, analytical and self-motivated. Capable of working independently with the ability to utilize time effectively and efficiently. Possess strong verbal, written, and platform communication skills. Demonstrate the art of persuasion and negotiate tactfully and profitably. Work extended hours and weekends, and travel as needed. Entertain customers after regular work hours. You must operate a company vehicle 70% of the time and do so safely in various weather and traffic conditions.
