As the owner of the technical relationship, the Principal Technical Account Specialist will partner directly with customers to provide technical expertise to all levels of their organization. As part of Research Development and Engineering (RD&E), this individual will leverage their understanding of customers’ pain points to help drive innovation by providing insights to ensure the development of innovative products and programs that will improve customer operations, cleanliness, and food safety programs. This person will deliver exceptional customer experience and drive sales growth through program adoption by leveraging strong partnerships with customer’s Food Safety, R D, Facilities, Quality, and Procurement teams. Using problem solving skills, this person will help customers navigate the complexity and challenges to deliver food safety and maintain healthy environments.
Position Location:
Greensboro, NC RD&E What you will do: Work closely with a cross-functional team to drive business growth and sales Provide analytical and scientific expertise to complex issues requiring in-depth knowledge of scientific, regulatory, industry requirements and standards Customer interaction with more senior level representatives at corporate and individual store level Develop, coordinate, and execute customer-driven technical projects, including analytical testing, field test, material evaluation, and equipment performance testing Create technical documents including training manuals, troubleshooting guides, SOPs, and customized cleaning procedures Assist in the launch of new products in conjunction with marketing, marketing services and sales team Support strategic project development with hands-on laboratory and field work Communicate customer-generated ideas to sales, marketing and RD&E to provide input to the discussions about how to profitably apply those ideas to the business, resulting in new product concepts and technical platforms Leads or acts as a key contributor to projects of moderate scope and complexity with high impact on the business. Acts with considerable latitude to solve a range of complex problems and uses best practices and knowledge of business issues to make sound decisions and deliver on objectives.
Minimum Qualifications:
BS degree in Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering, Bioscience, Earth Sciences, or related technical discipline and 5 years or advanced degree in Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering, Bioscience, Earth Sciences, or related technical discipline and 3 years related experience Ability to travel up to 25% for work Immigration sponsorship is not offered for this role
Preferred Qualifications:
Financial or business experience helpful but not required 3+ years professional experience in a customer facing technical role Must perform well in a team-driven atmosphere Project management skills are beneficial Strong interpersonal communication skills, including technical writing abilities required Must be able to interact with both corporate and individual store level customer contacts and provide hands-on troubleshooting assistance with product and equipment issues Annual or Hourly Compensation Range The pay range for this position is $98,600.00 – $148,000.00.
