This position plays a key role in supporting sales and service delivery teams by providing strategic licensing guidance, particularly focused on the Microsoft New Commerce Experience (NCE) and Microsoft Azure. The Strategic Licensing Advisor will collaborate with Account Managers, technical teams, Purchasing and clients to ensure licensing accuracy, cost-efficiency, and alignment with Microsoft’s evolving models. While this role currently emphasizes Microsoft licensing, other high-value vendors may be added in the future as the company continues to grow. License Management & Compliance Work with the Purchasing team to ensure proper management and monitoring of Microsoft client software licenses. Ensure compliance with licensing agreements, avoiding penalties and overages. 2. Subscription and Cloud Licensing (NCE Expertise) Administer and manage Microsoft 365, Azure, and other cloud-based subscription licenses through the Microsoft Partner Center or similar CSP platforms. Manage the Microsoft CPE Partnership Ensure Dynamic Quest meets the requirements to maintain its partnership(s). Identify discounts, rebates and other financial incentives provided by Microsoft and work with Sales and other teams to earn the incentives. Stay informed on vendor licensing changes, promotions, and program updates. Make other company employees aware of changes, promotions and program updates. Work with Product Management to role out new licenses supported by Dynamic Quest. Work with training to identify Microsoft license training for different roles in the organization. Identify training Dynamic Quest needs to earn partnership status. Attend Microsoft or other vendor events. 3. Client Consultation & Recommendations Proactively advise clients on cost optimization strategies and possible subscription changes. Assess client licensing needs and recommend appropriate licensing models based on business size, usage, and compliance requirements. Provide detailed reports and licensing audits to clients. Educate and guide clients and Sales on changes to vendor licensing policies and how they impact their business. Train Sales and Solution Architects on Microsoft licensing. 4. Renewals and Upgrades Identify opportunities for clients to upgrade or consolidate licenses for better value and performance.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Technical Knowledge Deep knowledge of Microsoft licensing models, including Microsoft 365, Azure, and other NCE plans. 2. Analytical & Compliance Skills Ability to analyze licensing usage data to identify potential overspending or compliance risks. Strong attention to detail in tracking renewals, compliance deadlines, and subscription changes. When required, provide licensing reporting to the organization 3. Communication & Client Relationship Skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills to explain complex licensing terms to non-technical clients. Strong customer service mindset with the ability to build and maintain trust with clients.

Education & Certifications:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Business, IT, or a related field (preferred but not required) 2.

Certifications Preferred:

Microsoft 365

Certified:

Fundamentals or relevant certifications

Microsoft Certified:

Azure Administrator or similar Vendor-specific certifications (e.g. Fortinet, SonicWall, Cisco, VMware).

Experience:

1. 2-5 years of experience in licensing management or software asset management, preferably in an MSP environment. 2. Prior experience working with Microsoft Partner Center or a similar

CSP Platform Preferred Qualifications:

1. Experience with automation tools for license tracking and reporting 2. Familiarity with ITSM platforms (e.g., ConnectWise, Autotask) 3. Strong understanding of regulatory compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, etc.).

Work Schedule:

1. Full-time, with flexibility to accommodate urgent licensing requests and renewals 2. This position is “work from home”. 3. Some travel will be required.
