OVERVIEW OF ROLE OR HOW THE ROLE MAKES AN IMPACT

Gale Pacific is seeking a highly motivated Key Account Manager to manage our home center business partnerships. The primary functions of this role include account management to increase distribution and foster long term relationships for our home center business. Reporting to the National Sales Manager – Americas, our Key Account Manager will develop short- and long-term plans in collaboration with our retail partners. These plans are focused on profitable sales targets, increased brand awareness, and key account relationships throughout North America and Latin America.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage Product Line Reviews Increase omnichannel sales with key home center retailers Oversee retailer programs including program terms, rebates, returns and co-op Manage merchandising operations in collaboration with field service as well as in-store merchandising Improving retailer.com sales performance Oversee promotional and pricing activities with each account Optimize corporate marketing initiatives for Coolaroo brand with each retailer Forecasting home center retail business for Coolaroo Oversee day-to-day business operations and internal processes Create a national sales plan for each retailer Uncover adjacent categories of growth Identify cost-savings initiatives Create and maintain strong professional relationships Achieve or surpass sales and gross margin expectations Working internally to consult the company’s management on setting budgets Respond quickly and efficiently to requests from buyers and other stakeholders internally and externally for information and assistance Work with key accounts demand planning teams to align on sales plans and order forecasts Develop product training tools for in store associates at key retailers

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in business or related course of study 3 years’ experience in CPG/retail Good understanding of retail consumer goods and the workings of Big Box/DIY retailers Strong selling, negotiation, and analytical skills Strong working knowledge of Microsoft suite office products Strong working knowledge of CRM systems

Excellent attention to detail Superior planning and project management skills Able to work in a team environment but simultaneously be a self-starter. Proven track record of success meeting sales quotas A highly developed level of creative skills to manage all home center business functions and asks Must apply critical thinking skills to determine best strategic approach Lowe’s & The Home Depot experience preferred but not required Ability to travel nationally 30-40%
