Job Description
Original Equipment Key Account Manager – Americas Bridgestone Aircraft Tire (USA), Inc. 802 South Ayersville Road, Mayodan, NC 27027 The Original Equipment Americas Key Account Manager (OE AKAM) is directly responsible for building and strengthening the relationship with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) in the Americas (Boeing and Embraer) and the Bridgestone Aircraft Tire business globally. The OE AKAM will develop and execute all strategies with the OEMs, as well as manage all communication and coordination between the OEMs , wheel manufacturers, and Bridgestone Aircraft Tire (USA), Inc.
POSITION DUTIES
Analyze Aviation Business Environment:
Gather data information on OEM activities and future plans. Analyze market trends in the aviation industry, including changes in aviation authorities’ rules and regulations
Develop OEM Strategies:
Develop, propose and execute strategies for each OEM in order to achieve targets, become an undisputed strategic partner, and be a leading candidate for supplier of the year
Develop New Business:
responsible for creating and proposing new business opportunities with OEMs
Tire Product Planning:
Develop strategies for product development and planning (new and retread) according to OEM needs, market demand and knowledge of competitors
- Manage Aircraft Programs
- Responsible for managing each aircraft program through the entire life cycle: from RFI to RFP to contract negotiation to development to approval.
- Accountable for the development schedule including coordination with wheel manufacturers
- Responsible for all aspects of the contract including ensuring execution, monitoring sales, preparing for audits and securing renewals
- Serve as an outside sales representative in a given territory.
Responsible for customer relationship, communication, business planning, and contractual sales. Explore and develop additional sales opportunities through market research, trade show attendance, marketing and cold-calling. Represents the entire Bridgestone product portfolio including tires, solutions and services as well as explores and develops opportunities for new solutions and services based on customer feedback and market needs
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree from a four (4) year accredited college or university and ten (10) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous experience with OE manufacturers required. Excellent communication skills, verbal and written. Self-motivated, sound judgment and good business sense; Team working ability; Analytical and problem-solving skills; Resilience and tenacity Exceptional internal and external customer skills; Ability to build relationships with customers quickly; Global awareness Advanced computer skills to include Microsoft Office Suite Skills in project management preferred Must be able and willing to travel up to 75% to support OE business needs
