This position requires strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate effectively with customers and leads. The Account Associate role supports the Account Management Team with responsibilities that drive the growth, management, and retention of customer accounts. This role is key to providing an exceptional customer experience and engagement with customers through sincere, personalized relationships. Duties Serve as an accessible point of contact for assigned accounts, responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with past, current, and prospective customers. Generate sales leads based on information from advertising inquiries, direct mail responses, trade show leads, business directories, and other sources. Qualify leads and calls on prospects to educate on products (may include overnight travel for up to 50% of the time). Enter new customer data and other sales data for current customers into database. Assist prospects and customers with product selection by utilizing the website, technical data sheets, and other resources. Overcome technical objections of prospective customers with solid product and key differentiator knowledge. Prepare for and attend exhibits, trade shows, conferences, meetings, and other promotional opportunities. Represent company and brand professionally and respectfully at events to enhance brand image. Participate in the development of sales goals and objectives. Assist with strategic customer outreach campaigns to build brand awareness, generate new growth, and recapture lost business. Discover customer objectives, challenges, and needs, and provide support towards solutions. Serve as a liaison between customers and internal teams and communicate effectively and promptly so that the customer feels prioritized. Proactively identify opportunities, changes, or gaps to explore new business and improve current account performance. Stay aware of industry trends and developments pertaining to customer activity. Skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with active listening. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Relationship building skills and maintaining those relationships effectively. Ability to multitask, set priorities, and deliver on timelines.
