Survivor Support Account Specialist Position Location:

The Survivor Support Account Specialist ensures proper estate disbursement and release of information to third parties; researches and resolves issues; ensures audit compliance, security, and safety of financial records; detects account fraud to mitigate and prevent Credit Union loss; and acts as the subject matter expert for all inquiries concerning deceased account processing. As a key contributor to the Coastal team, your responsibilities will be: (50%) Handling account needs of deceased Credit Union members. This includes such things as updating accounts, providing information for court claims, processing federal claims reimbursements and appeals, etc. (20%) Providing exceptional customer service to joints, heirs, POD (payment upon death) designations, and other related account holders or third parties; recommending appropriate products and services applicable to heirs (10%) Serving as the subject matter expert for leadership and peers, resolving escalated customer service issues, and providing training/direction to less experienced team members. (20%) Reviewing financial records for audit compliance, security, and safety. Interested? Here are the qualifications we need to see on your resume:

Experience:

At least two years of financial institution experience in a role requiring high volume customer service, recommending products/services, and requiring attention to detail OR at least two years of customer service experience in the legal services industry.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent; two-year related degree preferred Essential cognitive/physical/social requirements of position: Must be able to learn and retain information; remain in a stationary position; constantly operate a computer; and converse with others on a continual basis.
